Salaam, I would like to know whether or not the following things are permissible regarding the "attitude towards Quran". Please give evidence, either from Qur'an, reliable hadith, leading scholars or just a general logical explanation "why" to support your answer.
1. Touching or reading in hands an english/greek/somali/pashto/whatever language translation of the Quran(with no arabic beside the translations in the surahs) without wudu - Halaal or Haraam? 2. Making small mistake in recitation of Qur'an and correcting it - Does this necessitate the 2 extra sujood after the 2nd tashahhud in the last rakaat before making the 2 salaams or not? 3. Reciting Qur'an in language other than arabic - halal or haraam? |

wa 'alaikum as-salaam
(1) Touching or reading in hands a translation of Qur'aan is permissible because translation of the Qur'aan is not itself Al-Qur'aan to begin with, it's just the translation of the meaning of Qur'aan. (3) You mean reading the translation of the meaning? If one is reading the translation of Qur'aan he is not actually reading/reciting Qur'aan, he is just reading/reciting the translation of the meaning of Qur'aan. wa 'alaikum as-salaam.
