Default Oh God I am Blind Alhegr v.15

In the name of Allah the compassionating the compassionate

Assalamo alikom

{ If we open to them a door to the sky and they kept going upward 14 then they will say our our sight is gone or we are bewitched 15 }

Subhana Allah walhamdu llilah , these two verses are most miraculous among the whole one thousand and three hundred verses in Quran that are talking about Earth and the Universe. What the verse is saying to that what ever miracles Allah will show the kafirs they will still disputed and disbelieve it ,
There two key words in these verse
1-فظلوا means continued during day time opposite to امسوا

2-سكررت او سكرت Sukerrat means closed the R has tashdeed
Sukerat means became drunk
Allah SWT is saying to Kafirs if we open for you a door to heaven and put a ladder and you climb during day time you will say we became blind , our eyes are closed or became drunk.
The first man to go to the Moon after traveling some sixty five kilometers above the Earth.was heard saying ' Oh God I am Blind ' , once the space ship lift the Earth’s atmosphere and all the reflection of the Sun rays finished the scintillation effect that illuminates the space is finished and the human eye can see nothing , nothing at all it is just utter complete darkness pitch black.
This is what the Quran told us over fourteen hundred years ago. Praise Allah , Walhadu lillah .

Wasalamo alikom

Walaikom Assalam ...Akhi Qatada
The Captain of the space craft was Thomas P Stanford
I am not sure if he said it or someone else from the crew.
The meaning is very specific and precise , even if the Kafirs ascend to heaven during the day time which is suppose to bright and shine , they will be surprised that it is very dark. I suppose they deserve it because they have black hearts.

Asalaamu alaikum amm al-habeeb. Some Ayaat are specific and precise, but this example does not specify any preciseness of meaning. The explanation you put forward may be acceptable (as with other Ayaat that purport scientific info), but the primary meaning (of Al-Hijr 14-15) has been explained by the mufasireen to mean quite something else - for example

The Qur'an is a Book of guidance and not a science manual, which a growing number of Muslims have unfortunately become accustomed to treat it as. Such Ayaat may be considered with (valid) multiple meanings, especially in light of modern science, but they should not be given primary (and secondary) focus or importance.

Allah knows best.

Default I know that what I write is not for everyone

Akhi Alkareem Abu Umayza

Baraka Allaho feeka and thank you for your reply , Only the Almighty Allah SWT knows the meaning of Quran .I am only a spirit that is flying high swimming in the beauty and purity of the Quran and like a bee kisses all the flowers to come out with the honey ,
I mentioned the old tafseer side by side with new tafseer all what I said are scientific facts. some people still believe that the Earth is flat , I am not one of them. Some unlucky people were burnt on the stake for giving views that are not liked by the Church pontiffs.
So that is one point that both of us agreed to disagree upon
Jazaka Allaho Khyran Wahsana Mathwak Wafataha Alaik wa baraka laka fima bayna Yadayk

I think you may have misunderstood me shaykhana. No one is denying the "scientific facts" that are indeed known to be facts. The point I made previously is that the purpose of the Qur'an is not to teach science and physics to mankind. The primary meanings of the Ayaat of Qur'an should not be compromised when attempting to give scientific justifications for them.

Asalaamu alaikum.

Walikom Afdhala asalam
Akhi Alkareem Abu Umayza....Hafadhaka Allah
I did not compromise the meaning of the Ayaat , I wrote what the previous Tafseer was.{ Maadha Allah if I do ignore the old Tafseer } I know that Quran is not a physics book ,but what can you say about 1300 verses talking about or Universe , Akhi , Allah is inviting us to do TADABOR ' Reasoning ' of Quran and science is all about reasoning. So it is unreasonable to ignore the bright signs that Allah SWT is telling us just because they a bit scientific. Our life is not static ,it is vibrant so is the words of Allah is full of life and meanings that in order to do Tadabor we have to use every thing we got.Salfists used mathematics to deduce the Night of Glory .they invented state of the art Sun clocks in India for example that is as accurate or better than an atomic clock to do the prayers and the Moon movements and so on.Akhi, we should not separate science from any aspect of our life .Quran talked about fine secrets of Embryology, static electricity, shades thunder , light and the atom. Can we forget all that.I leave it to you to to think about.
Once again thank you for your feed back and may Allah reward you for your effort and top up your scale with the best of deeds Ameen , Walhamdu llilahi rabe Alalameen.

I do not disagree with your comments, perhaps I failed to make myself understood. Ila al-Liqa'.

The Arabic word for “roll” is “yukevviru.” The word is used to depict the act of wrapping a turban around someone’s head. This word was also used in the sense of overlapping of the night and day and vice versa. The reason for the day’s turning into night and the night’s turning into day is due to the spheroid form of the earth. In this verse also we observe implied the sphericity of the world.

He created the heavens and the earth truthfully. He rolls the night over the day, and rolls the day over the night… (39:5)

VIEW OF THE WORLD FROM SPACE ABOVE

During the Prophet’s lifetime it was impossible to scientifically determine the correct view. The scientific demonstration of the statements of the Quran was only possible after the lapse of a millennium. Why were these scientific explanations in the Quran-beyond the comprehension of the Prophet’s contemporaries, contradicting the hypotheses prevalent at the time and likely to cause harm to their messenger, certainly being of no benefit to him? We see that the Quran’s objective is to tell the truth at all costs. The fact that these phenomena could be explained thanks to the advance of science one thousand years later testifies to the universal address of the Quran and its character; it addresses not only its own time, but also the entirety of humanity until the end of the world.

When the astronomers went to space, they bore witness to this statement of the Quran and took photographs. The face of the world facing the sun was day, while the other side was night. The rotation of the world around its own axis made the night and day alternate, and in some parts the transition from day to night took place simultaneously.

The phenomena related to the roundness of the world and the succession of days and nights are the sine qua non conditions of our life on earth. Had our world not been of a spherical shape, had night and day not succeeded each other thanks to its rotation, life on the face of the earth exposed to heat would be extinct and in the portion left in the shade vegetation would not thrive. God’s omniscience, omnipotence and art, His perfect design of everything, and the miraculous character of the Book are better understood as we contemplate them.
