Default Calling the quran Holy

Asalamualaykum
I have heard many times that calling the quran 'holy' is an innovation. So apparently there is no evidence to suggest that the quran was described in this way by Allah or his Prophet (salalllahu alayhi wassalam). Also it is supposedly imitating the kuffar(Christians). If this is true then shouldn't the admin change the forum name?

On Arabic Multaqa web site Quran Section is named as Quran Al-Karim

http://www.ahlalhdeeth.com/vb/index.php

Quran Karim or Quran Majeed could be used, as these names are given by Allah Azza wa Jall.

Allah has named the Qur’an with many beautiful names including:

Al-Qur’an (theRecital),
Al-Furqaan (the Criterion between Truth and falsehood),
at-Tanzeel (the Revelation),
Al-Kitaab (the Book).

Allah Azza wa Jall has also given the Qur’an many descriptions in His verses of Quran and amongst them are:

Noor (Light),
Huda (Guidance),
Mau’idhah (Admonition),
Shifaa’ (Healing),
Rahmah (Mercy),
Mubaarak (Blessing),
Mubeen (Clear, Manifest),
Bushraa (Good Tidings),
Azeez (Mighty),
Majeed (Glorious),
Basheer (Bringer of Glad Tidings),
Nadheer (Warner),
Kareem (Noble),
Ahsanul-Hadith (the Best of Speech)

Na'am quran karim doesnt mean holy akhi. I think the name of this forum should change if no evidence of 'holy' can be found to maybe the noble quran or wise quran. Allahu Alam

som information regarding Etymologists have traced "holy" back to an Old Norse word for good health and wholeness, "heilagr", through German "heil" (meaning "health, happiness and good luck") to Old English "hal" (related to hallow). According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, the pre-Christian meaning was probably "that which must be preserved whole or intact, that cannot be transgressed or violated." Very interesting, when used in the context of "the Holy Land".
