Salam,
Did women wear Make-up at the time of the prophet sallahu3laywasalam? If yes, Where they rebuked? I have seen even women wearing veils with eye liner and eye shadow... I find it a little disturbing. Most muslim women claim that they want to look “presentable” and thus a little bit of make-up is not going to seduce men or change the creation of Allah. How are they to be addressed? |

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته My respected sister, women at all times wear make up but they used to show it only to those who are lawful to see. So, this was not shown in public and no one single man would let his wife or daughter or mother or sister or aunt to go out wearing make up even if he was a hypocrit at that time. Those who you observe in streets who are minority by the way, showing eyes with eye liner and Kuhl are worse in their harm than other women who are uncovered! wallahu A'-Musta'an Nevertheless, we do not judge actions based on people but rather on Religion regardless who does it. So, those who conduct such act are commiting a sin even if they only show their eyes similarly as those who are uncovered properly. Wallahu A'-Mustan
