Asalamo'Alaykum Wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.
Ustaadh we are about to have elections in our country. I want you to please advice me on the following:
a) Are we allowed to vote?
b) if so, which party should I vote for? That which is efficient n trusted but secular, or that which calls for an islamic government? The former can win and may be able to solve issues like suicide bombs that kill many everyday, corruption and power supply issues. The latter is unpopular but promotes Qur'an and sunnah.

How come? Surat Faitiha and Kaiyam قيام is obligatory...... can you clarify......

yes it does count as a rak'a

In case enter the mosque late, and the sustained worshipers kneeling (they are in Ruku ركوع) I join them. Is calculated rak'ah?
